You’ll be surrounded by women that just like you love makeup, but just don’t know what to do with it. There’s nothing worse than having a makeup artist give you a beautiful new look, but when it’s time for you to recreate it, it turns in to a total disaster. Pretty Makeup Artists have been trained to not only give you that great look, but to teach YOU how to apply it at home and how to pick colors that flatter you. On February 25th at 2pm our K Street, DC location will host a Pretty Party. You and your friends are invited. Do the words “Bryant Park”, “Mercedes-Benz”, “7th on Sixth” mean anything to you? If so, you may be one of thousands who dream of attending one (or any, for that matter) of these fabulous shows. As most all ready know, these shows are not easily open to the public. If you are not a member of the press, a celebrity, socialite or buyer – good luck on trying to get tickets. Well, good news for the fashion-hungry…DC Fashion Week, in its fourth year, is a Fashion Week Exhibit held twice a year (February/September). . It is planned by a non-profit organization whose goals are to “increase economic development” in fashion design, clothing merchandising and modeling and to “enhance the visibility of the nation’s capital as a cultural center of international fashion.” In other words, to create an opportunity for DC to be respected as, at the least, a fashionable city. New York, Paris, London, Milan, Tokyo…DC? Maybe not yet, but we’re sure headed in the right direction. Here’s a list of the main events for DC Fashion Week:
